Last week, UB celebrated the 5th annual Salute Our Troops Week, a series of events to recognize UB's military and veteran community members. The highlight of the week was the Veterans Day Flag Raising Ceremony that The Bob Parsons Veterans Center holds each year to honor UB student veterans, alumni, faculty and staff for their service to our nation. We'd like to extend our gratitude as well and encourage you to follow The Bob Parsons Veterans Center on Facebook to stay informed about events and news.

Good morning!
The holiday season is upon us, and it feels like the perfect time to thank you for your support of UB. Without the generosity of so many alumni and friends, the University would not be where it is today. Take a look at the 2015 annual report to learn more about who we are and where we are going. #thisiswhoweareub
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,
The Office of Alumni Relations 410.837.6131 alumni@ubalt.edu

Fuel for FinalsHelp the UBAA serve free snacks and beverages and wish our students good luck on their final exams on Dec. 3, 3-6 p.m., in the Law Center or Dec. 9, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Business Center. SavorUBThis program offers alumni a unique opportunity to share their expertise with students over a meal or coffee at local Baltimore restaurants. It is a flexible, one-time commitment that will hopefully turn into a meaningful mentor relationship. Social Media AmbassadorsLend your voice and perspective by sharing news, events and programming to your social network. And, join us as we celebrate #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. This is a great opportunity for those out-of-state alumni who wish to give their time and talents but cannot get to campus! SUPPORT UB ON #GIVINGTUESDAY |
|
On Dec.1, 2015, join the one-day global movement dedicated to giving back and participate in Giving Tuesday by making a gift to UB. For every gift UB receives on Giving Tuesday, we'll put a shiny new bow on the beloved Edgar Allan Poe statue that sits on Gordon Plaza to show just how generous the UB community can be. Your gift will benefit the unrestricted fund of your selected UB college or school; these funds often make it possible for students to participate in conferences, competitions and other experiential opportunities. Learn more, and plan to put a #BowOnPoe for UB students on #GivingTuesday!
